About The Role

 
Swim Safe is a fun and free water safety activity for children created by Swim England and the RNLI that takes place in the summer. The purpose is to get children aged 7 - 14 ready for safe swimming in open water. The programme takes place at inland and coastal sites throughout the UK.
  
We are seeking Swim Safe Site Co-ordinators on an employed Casual Worker basis. 
 
The role of Site Co-ordinator is a key role to the safety and success of Swim Safe at each site. The Swim Safe Site Co-ordinator acts as the single point of contact for the location, managing the programme on a day to day basis and coordinating the activity and staff during delivery of Swim Safe. You will be responsible for a range of duties prior to delivery, during delivery and post delivery of the programme.

Training will be provided to support all site coordinators in the delivery of their duties.

We are operating 3 sites in the following locations: Bridlington & Scarborough, Harwich and Bude therefore proximity to and knowledge of these sites would be advantageous. The programmes will be running on dates in July and August 2022.
 

The minimum age for applicants is 18 years.

About You

Successful candidates must have:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good time keeping and organisational skills
  • Previous experience of coordinating a Swim Safe Programme
  • Knowledge of safeguarding, having completed the 'Swim Safe CPD'
  • An understanding of the Swim Safe Site water environment
  • An understanding of changing weather and environmental conditions
  • Be willing to undertake a DBS check
