About The Role

Are you passionate about volunteering and diving? Could you feel you represent the voice of diving volunteers?

Swim England is looking for an experienced diving volunteer lead to support the work of the Diving Leadership Group by being the voice of coaches in the sport. This is a voluntary role working roughly 4 hours per week.

The Volunteer Lead acts as an informed voice in relation to the volunteering landscape of Diving, providing input on priorities of the sport and supporting the professional team to deliver those needs. The role is part of the Diving Leadership Group and as such will effectively commit to the terms of reference for the group.

Your specific responsibilities will be:

  • To provide informed input to the discussions and decisions of the group to ensure that Swim England is developing and supporting diving volunteers. 
  • To provide support and advice to the Sport Development Directorate in relation to community needs to support the implement programmes, policies and strategies let by the professional team.

This is an unpaid voluntary role, reasonable expenses will be reimbursed in accordance with Swim England's expenses policy.

About You

We are looking to engage volunteers who have experience of:

  • Actively volunteering in a sport at club level, with experience of a range of volunteering roles.
  • Providing constructive feedback to support programme design and delivery.
  • Working with people to identify challenges and solutions which fits many stakeholders.
  • Experience in diving clubs in England 
You will also need to hold Swim England membership for this role.
