About The Role

The Institute of Swimming are seeking an experienced Programme Manager to join the team on a  full time basis (35 hours per week) to cover Maternity Leave (upto 12 months). The role will be based at our SportPark office in Loughborough but the successful candidate will have the ability to work from home and adopt a hybrid way of working. Where possible flexible working will be considered.

 

This is an exciting opportunity working within the Institute of Swimming as part of a busy Operations team responsible for delivering on leading the programme co-ordination and customer services function to meet financial targets and KPIs.

Reporting to the Head of the Institute of Swimming, you will be responsible for:

  • Driving the implementation of the Institute of Swimming and Swim England strategy within the IoS Operations team.
  • Developing, agreeing and monitoring, with senior colleagues, KPIs and delivery standards that support the Institute of Swimming’s organizational objectives
  • Manage  relationships with key stakeholders and international clients and lead their programmes development
  • Line manage the Operations team (4 direct reports), planning work schedules and resource requirements, to ensure agreed commercial programme KPI targets are reached and, where appropriate, exceeded.
  • Be responsible for the financial viability of the business plan / budget and associated management reports
  • Work with the Marketing Manager to deliver the marketing plan to maximize the commercial growth of the Institute and maintain the reputation as sector leading.

About You

The successful candidate must have:

  • Strong budgetary management skills to ensure financial viability of the business plan
  • A proven track record of successful project management
  • Understanding of business structures, priciples and planning to anticipate and plan future needs of the business
  • Experience in overseeing the end to end process of product development in order to ensure successful implementation and ongoing delivery
  • Proven ability to lead, manage and motivate commercial teams to deliver a business plan in a high pressured environment.
  • Previous experience of working in the education sector is desirable as is possession of a Management qualification.
